USU Eastern Athletics

Ellyse Kessler, a sophomore forward from Bountiful, Utah, brings a decorated high school career and previous collegiate experience to the USU Eastern soccer program. She reached the State Championship Final during both her junior and senior seasons while earning All-State and All-Region honors. She also previously competed at USU Eastern during the fall of 2024 before serving an 18-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is the daughter of Gary and Jenn Kessler and has three older sisters. Her oldest sister played soccer at Casper College and helped inspire her to continue her own career at the collegiate level. Her father also played an important role in her development, coaching her during the early years of her soccer career and helping her build a foundation in the sport.

After serving her mission in Independence, Missouri, Kessler returned home at the end of June and is excited to continue her soccer career at USU Eastern. Outside of soccer, she enjoys socializing, reading, spending time outdoors and making memories with the people she loves. She looks forward to continuing to grow both on and off the field as an Eagle.
