Summary

Biography

Kylie Harris, a freshman forward from Spanish Fork, Utah, brings a unique journey, strong work ethic and love for the game to the USU Eastern soccer program. She began her high school career at a small charter school where her team started the season with just nine players, many of whom had never played soccer before. Despite losing most of their games that season, the experience became one of her favorite seasons because of the close bond the team developed and the responsibility she took on as a player. She credits that season with helping her improve more than any other because she was relied upon heavily by her teammates.

After transferring to her local high school, she played freshman, sophomore and junior varsity due to transfer eligibility rules. The opportunity allowed her to gain significant playing experience while working with coaches who were dedicated to her development. After moving to a new position, she earned Honorable Mention All-Region recognition. Her senior season was the highlight of her high school career, as she helped her team win its first 5A region championship and advance farther in the State Tournament than the program had ever gone, eventually falling 2-1 in the State semifinal. She was named Second Team All-Region and Academic All-State. She also competed in varsity track for the first time as a senior, gaining another valuable experience as a multi-sport athlete.

She is the oldest of six children and is the daughter of Westley and Heidi Harris. She has a twin sister who she is especially close with and who will be serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her father spent most of her life working as a pilot and is now self-employed, while her mother has always been a constant source of support for their family.

Outside of soccer, Harris enjoys spending as much time as possible playing the sport she loves. She also enjoys skiing, snowboarding, boating, hiking and spending time with friends at the reservoir playing spikeball. She recently began learning guitar and enjoys working out, especially with her sister. When spending time with her family, she enjoys taking walks with their dogs and watching movies together. She is excited to continue playing the sport she loves while beginning the next chapter of her journey at USU Eastern.
