USU Eastern Athletics

Ava Hepworth, a freshman defender from Saratoga Springs, Utah, brings a strong competitive background and a passion for the game to the USU Eastern soccer program. Throughout her high school career, she earned High Honor Roll recognition and was named an Academic Champion, demonstrating her commitment to success both on and off the field. She was also recognized as an All-Star player and competed in seven Elite Tournament championships, gaining valuable experience against strong competition.

She comes from a family of seven and has a strong connection to collegiate soccer. Her oldest sister played Division I soccer at Eastern Washington University, providing her with a role model and firsthand connection to the collegiate game.

Outside of soccer, she enjoys doing anything fun and spending time outdoors. She also loves baking and cooking. Soccer has played an important role in her life, providing an outlet and helping her through difficult moments. Her passion for the sport has made it an important part of who she is, and she is excited to continue playing at the collegiate level.

Hepworth plans to pursue a career in sports medicine. For now, she plans to begin her college education by completing her general education requirements while continuing to grow as a student-athlete at USU Eastern.
