Summary

Biography

Mikayla Stewart, a freshman forward from Hurricane, Utah, brings a strong scoring presence and leadership experience to the USU Eastern soccer program. She played varsity soccer all four years of high school and quickly established herself as one of her team's top offensive contributors. She was her team's leading scorer during both her junior and senior seasons and was named Offensive Player of the Year in each of those years. She also tied her high school's record for most goals scored in a single season and served as team captain during her senior year.

She is the daughter of Sammi and Michael Stewart and comes from a family of six. She has an older sister, two younger sisters and a younger brother. While neither of her parents competed in college athletics, both have a strong connection to sports. Her father played hockey in high school, while her mother competed in volleyball and softball.

Outside of soccer, Stewart enjoys wake surfing and wakeboarding and spends plenty of time at Lake Powell with her family. She plans to study medical sonography and hopes to become an ultrasound technician. She chose USU Eastern because she really enjoyed the environment of both the team and the school and felt it would be a great place to continue her academic and athletic career.
