Brookley Rasmussen, a freshman midfielder from South Jordan, Utah, brings a decorated high school career and strong leadership experience to the USU Eastern soccer program. She was a three-year varsity starter and two-year varsity captain at Herriman High School. During her career, she earned First Team All-State honors, was named First Team All-Region twice, and received Region 2 Most Outstanding Midfielder honors. She was also named Herriman's MVP twice and earned Academic All-State recognition.
She was a standout offensive contributor throughout her high school career. She led 6A in assists with 15 at the end of the regular season and scored seven goals as a senior after recording 12 goals and 11 assists as a junior. At the club level, she finished her career as a State Cup champion. In addition to soccer, she played basketball at Herriman for three years and was on the varsity roster for two seasons.
She is the daughter of Marta and Jason Rasmussen and has three brothers and one sister. Her family has been an important part of her athletic journey and continues to support her as she begins the next chapter of her career.
Outside of soccer, Brookley enjoys traveling to the beach, paddleboarding, serving in her church and spending time with her family. She is also a nationally certified Medical Assistant and plans to study nursing in college. She looks forward to continuing her athletic career at USU Eastern while preparing for a future in healthcare.
