Heritage Field serves as the home of Utah State University Eastern softball. The facility provides the Eagles with an outdoor venue for collegiate softball competition and serves as a gathering place for student-athletes, fans and members of the local community.
Heritage Field features a softball playing surface designed for collegiate competition, including a designated infield and outfield. The facility provides space for team practices, home games and other softball-related activities.
Heritage Field is home to the USU Eastern softball team. The Eagles compete at the facility throughout the season, welcoming conference and non-conference opponents to Carbon County.
Heritage Field has long been part of Helper's baseball tradition, serving as a community baseball venue before being converted into a softball facility for USU Eastern. In 2024, Helper City and USU Eastern partnered to prepare the field for collegiate softball, completing improvements that included new infield dirt, fencing and adjustments to meet collegiate playing standards. The Eagles officially opened Heritage Field on March 7, 2025, hosting Colorado Northwestern Community College in their first home series at the facility.
In March 2026, Helper City announced an additional $1.1 million investment in improvements to Heritage and Gardner fields.
