Biography
Mateo spent over five years in the DFB Talent Development Program (Stützpunkt) and earned multiple nominations for the WfV A-Squad, which recognizes the top 32 players in Baden-Württemberg. He also spent more than a year at Schwabensport in cooperation with VfB Stuttgart during the founding of the U12 team, where he reached the Top 14.
He is the son of Joerg and Simone Schachtschabel and has two siblings, a brother and a sister. His family has always encouraged his growth in both soccer and academics, supporting his pursuit of opportunities abroad.
He enjoys meeting new people, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. He plans to study Marketing with an interest in Business and chose USU Eastern for its supportive community and the chance to grow academically, personally, and athletically.
