USU Eastern Athletics

Sean Sanchez, a freshman defender from West Jordan, Utah, brings a strong competitive background and extensive club experience to the USU Eastern soccer program. During his high school career, he earned First Team All-Region honors in Region 2. At the club level, he helped his team capture a UYSA State Championship and compete successfully in several major Utah tournaments, including the La Roca Cup, Adidas Cup, UYSA State Cup and Utah Cup.

He comes from a large family and has nine siblings. He is the son of Carlos Sanchez and Anni Tedder, with Gaby Sanchez and Derek Tedder also playing important roles in his family. Growing up in a large family has given him plenty of opportunities to build strong relationships and make memories with those closest to him.

Outside of soccer, Sanchez enjoys spending time with his cousins and family. He plans to pursue a career in sports medicine or kinesiology and will begin by completing his general education requirements at USU Eastern. He chose USU Eastern for the opportunity to continue playing soccer while earning his education and preparing for his future career.
