Xavier Peregrina, a freshman goalkeeper from Ogden, Utah, brings a decorated high school and club career to the USU Eastern soccer program. He was a three-time First Team All-State and three-time 3A First Team All-Region selection while helping his high school team capture three State Championships. In 2024, he was named First Team ECNL Mountain Conference and helped his team win the Utah Youth Soccer ODP Championship. He was also part of three ECNL Mountain Conference championship teams and was selected to compete in the ECNL Showcase All-Star Game.
His accomplishments continued in 2025, when he was named High School Player of the Year and selected to the Boys Soccer Best XI. He was also recognized on the TopDrawerSoccer Spring High School Boys Best XI, further establishing himself as one of the top players in his class.
He is the son of Ricki and Silvestre Peregrina and has an older sister, Nevaeh. His sister played Division I soccer at the University of Portland and currently continues her collegiate career at the University of Utah. Her experience at the collegiate level has provided him with a strong family connection to high-level soccer.
Outside of athletics, Peregrina enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys camping, fishing, playing video games and listening to music. When he's not competing, he likes staying active through other sports and spending time outdoors.
