USU Eastern Athletics

Owen Klingonsmith, a freshman midfielder from Washington, Utah, brings a decorated high school and club career to the USU Eastern soccer program. He traveled extensively with his club team throughout the West Coast, helping the team capture numerous tournament championships over the years. At the high school level, he helped his team win two region championships and two State Championships. During his varsity career, he recorded 17 goals and nine assists while playing more than 3,000 minutes and was named Player of the Year.

He is the son of Isaac and Lisa Klingonsmith and comes from a family of five children. He has an older sister, Addie, an older brother, Kai, and a younger brother, Ira. The Klingonsmith family shares a strong connection to soccer while also enjoying time together outdoors through hiking and camping.

Klingonsmith plans to pursue a career in healthcare and science with the goal of helping others feel seen and heard. He is currently completing his general education requirements at USU Eastern. Outside of soccer, he enjoys hiking, camping, spending quality time with loved ones and gardening while listening to music. He chose USU Eastern as a place to continue his soccer career while building a foundation for his future academic and professional goals.
