USU Eastern Athletics

Leandro Suarez Soruco, a freshman midfielder from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, brings experience from the professional game to the USU Eastern soccer program. Earlier this year, he competed with Atlético Juniors, a second-division club in Bolivia, from January through April before joining Blooming, a first-division club. His experience competing at both the second- and first-division levels has provided him with valuable opportunities to develop as a player and compete against high-level talent.

He comes from a close family and is the oldest of four children. He is supported by his mother and stepfather, and while no one else in his family has competed in sports, they have encouraged him throughout his athletic journey.

Outside of soccer, Suarez enjoys spending time with friends, whether that's going out to dinner or simply relaxing and enjoying time together. He plans to study Finance while continuing his soccer career at USU Eastern and looks forward to developing both academically and athletically.
