USU Eastern Athletics

Kinsey Parsons, a freshman volleyball player from Central Valley, Utah, brings a strong multi-sport background and a winning mentality to the USU Eastern volleyball program. She was a four-year varsity volleyball starter and helped her team finish among the top five at the State Tournament in each of her first three seasons. In addition to volleyball, she competed in softball, helping her team capture a State Championship during her junior year. The team finished the season with an impressive 30-1 record after losing its opening game of the season.

She comes from a supportive family with a strong athletic tradition. Her parents, Kalen and Mandy Parsons, were both college athletes. Her father played baseball at USU Eastern, Snow College, Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University, while her mother competed in track and field at Utah Valley University. The two met while attending UVU. She also has two younger sisters, one who is a sophomore in high school and another who is in sixth grade.

Outside of athletics, she has a passion for helping others and plans to study social work. She enjoys understanding what people are going through and hopes to use her education to make a difference in the lives of others. Parsons chose USU Eastern because it felt like a home away from home and because she loves the volleyball program. She is excited to continue her athletic and academic journey as an Eagle.
