USU Eastern Athletics

Julia Fugal, a freshman forward from American Fork, Utah, brings a strong high school career and a passion for the game to the USU Eastern women's basketball program. During her senior season, she was named 6A All-State Honorable Mention after averaging 12.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. She also earned Academic All-State honors for her achievements in the classroom.

Fugal is the youngest child of Valene and Jared and is one of five children. Her family has a strong connection to college athletics, as her older sister played volleyball at Snow College, while her mother also competed in volleyball and basketball at Snow.

Outside of basketball, Fugal and her family enjoy spending time outdoors together. Some of their favorite activities include hiking, paddle boarding, skiing and playing frisbee. She chose to attend USU Eastern to remain close to her family while finding a place where she can continue to develop as a player and work toward reaching her goals.
