Ellah Oeser, a freshman guard from Lehi, Utah, brings an impressive high school career and a passion for the game to the USU Eastern women's basketball program. She started on varsity as a freshman and helped lead her team to the state championship game, earning All-State Honorable Mention honors that season. She was also named her team's Rebounding MVP as a freshman and sophomore. During her junior season, Oeser earned All-State Third Team, All-Region First Team, All-Valley First Team, All-City MVP, KSL Player of the Week, Team MVP and Team Rebounding MVP honors. As a senior, she was named All-City Most Inspirational Player of the Year. Despite playing only two years of her high school career, Oeser set school records at Skyridge for highest rebounding percentage and most rebounds, along with ranking among the school's all-time leaders in several other categories.
Oeser is the daughter of Julie and Jared Oeser and is the oldest of five siblings. She is also the oldest of triplets, with two brothers. She and her siblings grew up playing sports and remain active together. Her parents met while playing basketball at Southern Virginia University and have been a strong source of support and inspiration throughout Oeser's basketball career.
Outside of basketball, Oeser enjoys spending time outdoors and looking for her next adventure, whether it is hiking, fishing, swimming or exploring new places. She plans to study physical therapy because she is passionate about helping others recover from injuries. Oeser chose USU Eastern because of the team's culture, the coaching staff and the opportunity to continue her academic and athletic career.
