The Utah State Eastern women's soccer team finished its non-conference schedule with a trip to take on Casper College and Western Nebraska Community College. The two contests marked the final chances for the Eagles before Scenic West play begins.
The Eagles opened the weekend with a match against the Casper College Thunderbirds. The Eagles used an impressive first half, which included four goals, to strengthen its hold on the match. Aerith Gomez, Brookley Rasmussen, Paisley Ashworth, and Ellyse Kessler each scored a goal. Despite not scoring in the second half, the Eagles' defense held strong, clinging to a 4-2 victory over the Thunderbirds.
To close its non-conference schedule, the Eagles continued the road trip with a visit to Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The Eagles continued its first-half dominance, scoring three goals in the first half. Goals by Addy Simmons, Desarae Elegante, and Aerith Gomez propelled Eastern to a 3-0 win over Western Nebraska.
Next for USU Eastern, the Eagles will host the No. 7 Salt Lake Community College Bruins. The match will be Eastern's conference and home openers for the 2026 campaign. Kick-off is scheduled for 11:00 am from the Castleview Hospital Soccer Field in Price, Utah.
