Biography

Sela Christiansen, a freshman outside hitter from Blackfoot, Idaho, brings a versatile athletic background to the USU Eastern volleyball program. She was a three-year varsity starter at Blackfoot High School, where she earned All-State honors her senior year and was named to both the First and Second-Team All-Conference during her career. Sela led her team in kills, aces, and serve receive, establishing herself as a key contributor on the court.

In addition to volleyball, she excelled in softball, earning First Team All-Conference honors in both her junior and senior seasons while helping her team capture a district title. Sela also graduated with high honors, demonstrating a strong commitment to academics.

Her family of four has always supported her love of sports. Her younger sister, Vivian, is already pursuing volleyball and softball. Her father, Eric, was a three-sport athlete in high school and was recruited to play college football before choosing to serve an LDS mission. Her mother, Livvi, was a ballerina and now competes in marathons and ultra marathons.

Outside of competition, Sela enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities including snow skiing, razor riding in the mountains, swimming, snorkeling, and camping. She also loves card games—especially when there's a competitive edge—and values the time she gets to spend with friends and family making memories.
