2024-2025 Softball Roster
Biography
Ellie Nielsen, a freshman catcher/third baseman from Weber High School, will be joining the USU Eastern softball team.
In high school, Ellie lettered her freshman year and contributed to her team's victories in the region during her sophomore and junior years.
Ellie is the daughter of Carrie and Ryan Nielsen, who are divorced and both remarried. She has one biological brother, Wyatt, and two step-sisters from her mother’s side, as well as one step-brother and one step-sister from her father’s side.
Ellie enjoys playing softball, reading, hanging out with friends, and working out. She chose to come to USU Eastern because it is close to home, and she has fond memories of visiting her property in Duchesne, which reminds her of Price.
