A standout shooter and all-around playmaker, Robbie was named to both the All-State Team and All-Region First Team during his high school career. In the summer club season, he played a key role for Utah Premier Elite, helping the team achieve an impressive 27-0 record while competing in major tournaments across Phoenix, Utah, Los Angeles, Anaheim, and Boise from April to July 2021.

Robbie is the son of Rob and Shantell Yates and comes from a family of six children. His older sister, Isabella, is married to Spencer Johnson, and his younger siblings are Olivia, Sophie, Millie, and Tommy. His father, Rob, played college basketball at Brigham Young University, and athletics have always been a big part of the family.

Off the court, Robbie enjoys spending time with family and has a wide range of interests. He’s a multi-sport fan who loves playing and watching golf, baseball, and football. Beyond sports, he enjoys drawing with charcoal and pencil, listening to music, and playing the guitar. He is currently studying Business at Utah State University Eastern.
