Biography
Brooks Jones, a versatile athlete from Phoenix, Arizona, made his mark at American Leadership Academy, where he not only excelled on the basketball court but also played football, baseball, and competed in track. His sophomore year was a standout as he helped lead his team to a state championship in basketball. By his senior year, Brooks was named Defensive MVP of his division, dominating as the division leader in blocks per game. Additionally, he showcased his talent in the prestigious Pangos Best of Arizona League and played for Team Arizona.
Athleticism runs in the Jones family. His mother, Lorna, played volleyball in college, while his father, Marlin, played college baseball. Brooks' athletic lineage is further highlighted by his grandfather, Rich Jones, who played in the NBA for the San Antonio Spurs, and his older brother, who played football at BYU.
Off the court, Brooks is an avid musician, playing both the piano and ukulele. He also has a passion for travel, enjoying the experience of meeting new people and discovering new places. Academically, Brooks has chosen to study Criminal Justice, with aspirations of potentially becoming a federal agent. He chose to attend USU Eastern because of the strong basketball program and the opportunities it presents to develop his game and achieve his future goals.
