USU Eastern Athletics

Sierra Sears, a freshman from Grace, Idaho, brings a strong competitive background and a passion for the sport to the USU Eastern rodeo program. Throughout her junior high and high school career, she became a national qualifier in rodeo and earned IMPRA Rookie of the Year honors. She has also qualified for the state finals multiple times, competed at the Vegas Tuffest several times and qualified for the Junior World Finals.

Rodeo is a family tradition for Sears. She is the daughter of Jeremiah Sears and Autumn Wilker and has one brother. Her family has always shared a love for the sport, with all of them having roped or currently participating in roping.

Outside of competition, Sears enjoys training horses and spending time roping. She is majoring in Business Management and chose Utah State University Eastern because she wanted to continue her education and rodeo career while staying close to home. She looks forward to continuing to develop as a competitor while building toward her future career.
