USU Eastern Athletics

Umu Tukuafu is a freshman from Salt Lake City, Utah. Standing at 6'1", she graduated from Bingham High School, where she was a standout player. Umu served as team captain during her junior and senior years, was on the honor roll all four years, and received the prestigious Heather Bissegar award in her senior year.

Umu is the oldest of five children, with two brothers and two sisters. Her parents are Tim and Lynette Tukuafu.

Outside of basketball, Umu enjoys reading, baking, playing the piano, doing puzzles, spending time with her family, and engaging in arts and crafts. She is considering studying either Psychology or Kinesiology in college. Umu chose to attend USU Eastern because she believed that Coach Chelsey and Coach Morgan would help her reach her full potential. She also found the campus and the town of Price to be beautiful and saw it as a place where she could grow both individually and athletically.
