Biography
Annie Heaton, from Sandy, UT, attended Alta High School where she was a standout both academically and athletically. With a perfect 4.0 GPA, she was on the honor roll throughout all four years of high school. Annie was an active member of Student Government and the Peer Leadership Team, and served as captain of the Alta girls soccer team during her senior year. Her dedication earned her a spot on the varsity team for three years and the Academic All-State award for soccer. In addition to soccer, Annie played varsity basketball for two years and participated in track for one year.
Outside of high school, Annie was a key player for the Celtic club team for a decade. Her team achieved significant success, winning the State Cup in 2022 and 2023, and reaching the finals in 2024. They were league champions for three consecutive years and qualified for nationals in July 2024, alongside numerous tournament victories.
Annie is the second oldest of five siblings, with one older brother, a twin sister, and two younger brothers. Her parents, Megan and Michael Heaton, have been incredibly supportive of her athletic and academic pursuits. While her family is athletic, none of them continued in college sports.
Annie enjoys staying active and has a passion for spikeball and pickleball. She loves to watch movies, except for horror, read, and play the piano. She also has a fondness for board and card games, and skiing. Annie is organized and enjoys cleaning, and she plans to study Interior Design in college. She chose USU Eastern for its relaxed atmosphere and supportive environment.
