High School: He was awarded the pursuing victory with honor award from his school for baseball and basketball my senior year as well as academic all state. He graduated with 7 letter (3 baseball, 4 basketball). He was also awarded junior athlete of the year his junior year and mvp my senior year from his high school.

Personal: He has two brothers, one older and one younger and two loving parents, Justin and Angela Nelson. Hies older brother is Tyler Nelson and he is playing here at USU Eastern with him this year.

Some of his hobbies include fishing, disc golf, ping pong, the occasional video game, card/board games, legos, and really any other random game you can think of. As of right now he is wanting to study business in college.
