USU Eastern Athletics

High School: During his 3 years of High school baseball, he was a primary catcher, and DH on days he wouldn’t catch. He consistently kept his fielding stats at .950 and above and his batting average between about 450 and 500.

Personal: His parents are Laurie and Kory Payton, he has one younger sister who is a sophomore this year. Neither of his parents played any sports or attended college.

His hobbies outside of baseball are hunting, fishing, and really anything that will get me into the mountains. He has worked in heavy duty diesel for the past 3 years, and recently just graduated from Mtec in the diesel program. He will be finishing his degree in diesel this spring through USU Eastern. He chose to come to USU Eastern because he wanted to play baseball at the next level and finish his degree in diesel and USU Eastern will allow him to do both.
