High School: He played baseball in high school and he made the 6A 1st Team All-State team during his senior year.

Personal: His parents are Randy and LeAnn Nelson. He is the middle child of two other brothers.

Besides baseball he likes to be outdoors and go fishing and hunting. He chose to come to USUE to play baseball and work towards his business degree.
