Utah State University

Newman earned First Team All-Region honors in high school in both 2021 and 2022, establishing himself as a consistent and reliable performer. 

He is the son of Alisha and Justin and comes from a large, blended family that includes three older siblings, four step-siblings, and a half brother. His father played Division I football at Northern Arizona University and emphasized athletics within the family. His older brother Cooper’s early love for baseball inspired him to begin playing the sport, a decision that set the foundation for his athletic journey. His sister also competed in collegiate volleyball at USU Eastern, making them a proud Eagle family.

Off the field, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and attending Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks games. He is especially close with his two nephews, Stetson and Rome. He also enjoys going to the gym and listening to country music. He is currently studying Business with plans to pursue a career in construction management and chose Utah State University Eastern because of the program’s strong coaching staff.
