Woods was a highly decorated standout at Riverton High School, earning First Team All-State honors in 2025 after being named Second Team All-State in 2024. He also received First Team All-Region recognition in 2025 and Second Team All-Region honors in 2024, while being named Riverton High School’s Most Valuable Male Athlete and a Defensive All-Star, highlighting his impact on both sides of the game.

He is the son of Cody and Jessica Woods and has one sister, Chloe. His sister played collegiate softball at SLCC, while his mother was on track to play softball at the University of Arizona before an injury altered her path. 

He has a strong passion for baseball and enjoys spending time outdoors. He plans to study business at Utah State University Eastern and chose USUE because of the coaching staff and the long-term potential of the baseball program.
