Dagen Gammell, a freshman right-handed pitcher from Salem, Utah, graduated from Salem Hills High School. He earned academic all-state honors in both baseball and football during his senior year. Despite missing his junior year due to UCL surgery, Dagen made first-team all-state in his senior year.

Dagen’s parents are Dave and Anna Gammell. He has three sisters and one brother. His oldest sister threw the javelin at BYU, and one of his younger sisters is committed to play volleyball at SLCC.

In his free time, Dagen enjoys hanging out with friends, hiking, boating, and water skiing during the summer. He is studying biology with aspirations to become an orthopedic surgeon. Dagen chose USU Eastern because of the culture and the opportunity to continue playing the game he loves.
