High School: In 2017 he received Utah Valley 4A Offensive MVP and 1st Team All-State in Deseret News, Salt Lake Tribune and The Daily Herald. In 2016 he received Honorable Mention as a junior, led the state in RBIs and and was top five in batting average. He was Team MVP, two time Louisville Silver Slugger and All Region Academic at Spanish Fork High School.

Personal: Hobbies include mountain biking, camping, sand dunes, golfing and surfing. Chose USU Eastern to continue playing baseball at a collegiate level and to get a good education. Parents are Chad and Allison Newman and is one of four siblings.
