High School: Was a three-time all-state and two-time all-star player at Uintah. Led his team in batting average three times. Was named team MVP following his senior season. Also earned varsity letters in golf and basketball.

Personal: He is one of three children of Kam and Jennifer Pope. Hobbies include hunting, camping, fishing and wake surfing. Wants to study Electrical after receiving his Associates Degree.
