The Utah State Eastern men's basketball team returned home hoping for a bounce-back against rival Snow College. In their last matchup, the Eagles fell 74-81.
In the first half, both teams fought for control, but it was the Badgers who had control of the first half. Despite falling behind by seven points early in the half, the Eagles were able to fight back and cut the Snow lead to just three points at the half. Eastern entered the break down 23-26.
Kayin Turner led the Eagles with nine points in the half, shooting 3-7 from the field, and 3-3 from the free-throw line.
The second half started, and Snow's shooters caught fire from behind the three-point line. The Eagles tried to keep up but soon found themselves in a double-digit hole. Despite attempts to come back late, the Eagles fell, 70-81.
Ike Palmer was the leading scorer for the Eagles, finishing with 17 points. Isaac Castagnetto also finished in double figures.
Next for the Eagles is a matchup with the College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles. The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan.29, in Price, Utah.
