Biography
Miranda Brown, a freshman libero/defensive specialist from Layton, Utah, joins the USU Eastern volleyball program after an impressive high school career at Northridge High School.
She played three years of varsity volleyball, earning 5A All-State Third Team honors as a junior. Her senior season was a standout year, where she reached a career milestone of 1,000 digs, was named 5A Region 5 Defensive Player of the Year, and made the 5A All-State First Team. Over her high school career, she also recorded 80 assists and held a 2.06 serve receive rating.
Miranda comes from a blended and competitive family of seven. Her parents, Krista Charles and Jeremey Brown, raised a family where competition is part of everyday life, often turning family events into lively and rowdy contests.
Outside of volleyball, Miranda enjoys spending time with friends and family and loves to go shopping. She chose to attend USU Eastern because of the close-knit campus atmosphere and the welcoming nature of the volleyball team, which immediately felt like home.
