Kylee is entering her second year as an Eagle after a very successful freshman year as a defensive specialist. 

Kylee was raised in Cache Valley Utah. Her parents are Steven and Syndee Atkinson. Kylee has one sibling who is four years younger than her. They both enjoy volleyball, music, reading and playing any sport together. Kylee started to play volleyball at a young age. Her love of the game and watching other collegiate athletes encouraged her to play in college. Kylee has traveled many areas of the country competing in volleyball tournaments. Her love of sports are deeply rooted and enjoys the many opportunities she has had while playing the sport of volleyball.

She has had very high academic expectations for herself so throughout high school she has tried to take every possible opportunity. Academically, she was able to be a Valedictorian, the English Sterling Scholar, take 3rd in FBLA Region in Accounting I and II, place in the top 10 at DECA State in Accounting, compete in the Academic Olympiad, qualify and compete at We The People Nationals, place in the top 25% in the Utah State Math Test, pass 5 AP exams, and maintain a 4.0 cumulative GPA. These things are just as if not more important to her than volleyball. She loves being involved at school and taking opportunities to reach out of my comfort zone and see what she can achieve. In the Leadership spectrum, she is the Executive Secretary on my school student government, she is an Ambassador for the Little Lambs Foundation, is in 2 service clubs, she is in the leadership committees for Multicultural Club, DECA, FBLA, and NHS. She also was able to be the volleyball captain for one year and the track captain for 2. She was on the Varsity Track team all 4 years and Varsity Volleyball for 2. Prior to both of these sports she competed in gymnastics for 9 years and played basketball. In her 2021 and 2023 club season, the volleyball team qualified and competed at Nationals in Florida.

Some of her favorite hobbies are reading, math, and doing games like puzzles, word searches, etc. Math has always been her favorite subject and since the beginning of middle school she has known that she wanted to do something in the Financial realm. Through high school she took many math, business, and financial classes and have gained a high interest in Accounting which is what she will be studying here at USU Eastern. I love the outdoors and the size of the campus, everything about it was appealing to me. I'm excited to become a part of it!
