Avery Sanders is a freshman on the Women's Basketball team from Syracuse, Utah.  During her high school career at Syracuse High School, Avery earned 1st Team Region, 1st Team All-Area, and 2nd Team All-State honors. She led 6A in assists and steals, while also averaging 17 points per game. In addition to basketball, she also participated in soccer and track.

Avery's parents are Dave and Leisha Sanders, and she has three sisters.

In her free time, Avery enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outdoors, whether it's boating, skiing, or playing pickleball. She chose to attend USU Eastern because of the welcoming environment, the strong sense of community within the team, and the coaching staff's dedication to pushing athletes to be their best.
