Utah State University

Ajla lettered all four years of high school and was a starter for three seasons. She earned honor roll recognition every semester since her freshman year and also competed in varsity track as a javelin thrower during her junior year, in addition to one season of basketball, highlighting her well-rounded athletic background.

She is the daughter of Danette Butler and Sanjin Hadzialijagic and comes from a family with strong ties to collegiate athletics. Her aunt played softball at CNCC and the University of Northern Colorado, while another aunt competed in basketball at USU Eastern and Adams State. She also has a younger brother who plays competitive basketball and lives with cousins who are also involved in softball, creating a supportive, sports-centered environment.

Softball has been her primary focus since her freshman year, though she continues to enjoy following basketball. Outside of athletics, she enjoys reading, drawing, painting, and creative projects. She plans to study Elementary Education with possible interest in social work and chose Utah State University Eastern for its small-campus atmosphere, strong community, and positive family connections to the university.
