Biography

Weston Sorensen is a freshman from Herriman, Utah. He graduated from Salt Lake Academy High School and plays as a defensive midfielder.

During high school, Weston helped his team win the Region 2 Championship in 2024 and earned academic awards for his GPA. In club soccer, he was part of a team that placed 2nd in the USYS National League, qualified for the Far West Regionals, and competed in the USYS NL Desert League for three years. His club achievements also include winning the Utah State Cup in 2015.

Weston's parents are Tawnya Sorensen and Adam Sorensen. He has an older sister named Quincy. While no one in his family has played collegiate sports, his father played soccer until high school and then shifted to basketball, encouraging Weston to pursue soccer.

Weston chose to attend USU Eastern because it is in-state, allows him to continue playing soccer, is close to home, and is familiar to him. Although he has not yet decided on a major, he plans to figure it out soon. His hobbies include playing video games, socializing with friends, riding e-bikes, and playing soccer in a relaxed setting.
