High School: While at Mountain View High School he received the Bruin Spirit Award and Most Dependable Player award.

Personal: Parents are Juan Ramirez and Cecilia Alcala. He has one younger sister who is a junior in high school and two younger brothers who are freshman in high school.

He loves to educate himself with whatever can help him improve as a person. That be by reading books, learning new things, picking up a new hobby, listening to podcasts and working out.
