Biography
Mark Reichner, a standout 6'3" guard from San Juan Capistrano, California, had an illustrious high school basketball career at San Juan Hills High School. In 2022, he was named CIF-SS 2A Player of the Year and led his team to the CIF-SS 2A Championship. His impressive season also earned him spots on the All Orange County Team and the All Orange County All-Star Game as a starter. Additionally, he was honored as the CVAA League MVP and was a key player in the league championships for two consecutive years (2021, 2022). Mark's senior stats include 517 points, 139 rebounds, 103 assists, and 70 steals, reflecting his significant impact on the court.
Mark was also a versatile athlete, participating in varsity volleyball and track and field. In volleyball, he contributed to the 2022 CVAA League Championship, while in track and field, he competed in high jump and long jump. His academic achievements include being a Scholar Athlete and making both the Superintendent and Principal Honor Rolls from 2019 to 2022.
Mark's family is deeply rooted in athletics. His mother, Isa Reichner, is from Mexico and ran track and field in high school. His father, Mark Reichner, is from California and played basketball for the University of Redlands and BYU. Mark is one of four children in his family.
Outside of basketball, Mark enjoys lifting weights, surfing, and playing the piano. He is currently studying Business Management at USU Eastern, with aspirations of starting his own business in the future. Mark chose USU Eastern for its supportive atmosphere, strong coaching staff, and the opportunities it offers for both academic and athletic advancement.
