Utah State University

High School: Was a two-time All-State and All-Tribune player for Grantsville. In 2014 he was named 3A MVP by the Deseret News while leading his team to the 3A State Championship. Also was named Tooele County Male Athlete of the Year in 2014. He holds the Utah High School record for longest hitting streak of 28 games. He also earned All-State honors and was four-year letterman in football. Was both a team captain on the basketball team at Grantsville.

Personal: He is one of three children of Scott and Natalie Barrus. He is an uncle to six nieces and nephews. Hobbies include hunting and eating pizza. Served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nashville, Tennessee.
