Biography
Madison Shama, an outfield player from Thornton, Colorado, is a freshman on the USU Eastern softball team.
During her high school career at Horizon High School, Madison earned four academic and athletic letters, received three 1st team all-conference awards for academics, and was named 2nd team all-conference for softball in her senior year. She also lettered in managing the girls' basketball team and serving as an officer in student council.
Madison is the daughter of Nicole and Chris Shama and has two older sisters. Her dad was a high school athlete in swimming, track, football, and baseball before attending college in the Navy, while her mom excelled academically.
Madison enjoys doing crafts, cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She is majoring in criminal justice and forensic science, a career path she has been passionate about since her freshman year of high school. She chose USU Eastern because it offered her desired major and the perfect softball program to continue her athletic career.
