High School: Batted .217 with six runs, 5 hits and 3 RBIs as a senior in 2017. Pitched in 12 innings with 11 hits, 7 earned runs, and 4.08 ERA.

Personal: Chose USU Eastern because it was close to home and the opportunity to play in the SWAC. Hobbies include camping and dirt bike riding. He is the son of Tyler and Lori Smith.
