High School: Helped Bear River win 2014 and 2015 region titles. Was named first team All-State and All-Area in 2015 as a senior.

Personal: Came to Utah State Eastern for the baseball program. Hobbies include camping and playing other sports such as basketball and golf. One of four children of Casey and TeriLynn Porritt.
