Jarod Lessar begins his first year as a collegiate assistant coach for USU Eastern. Lessar was born and raised in Price, UT, following high school he started his collegiate career playing football at SUU. He transferred from SUU to USU Eastern to play baseball in 2016-2017, and was recruited to play D1 baseball at BYU from 2018-2020. Following his time at BYU he was drafted by the New York Yankees in 2020 and was in their minor leagues from 2020-2023, and he is currently a Free Agent. Lessar has achieved his bachelors degree in Sociology.
Jarod is married to Karlie and together they have a son, Louie.
