High School: She was the starting shortstop her freshman year for her varsity softball team and placed first in the league. During her sophomore year they made it to state but lost in playoffs. She had a .323 batting average during that season. Her junior year was taken away due to the pandemic. During her senior year she was the starting pitcher and had a 1.74 ERA with 41 strikeouts with 805 pitches. She made the All-Southern Nevada Softball First Team.

Personal: Her parents are Belinda and Michael Smith. She is the oldest of 4 with a twin brother and is the only girl. Her mom played D1 college softball as a shortstop for Calpoly and her dad played baseball up until he went to college.

She has a love for reading as well as writing, and watching movies.  She has an interest in psychology and teaching. She chose USUE because she loves Utah and its beautiful scenery and likes the feeling of a small town.
