The Utah State University Eastern rodeo team wrapped up an impressive season at the regional finals held at Utah Valley University, showcasing grit, consistency, and a season's worth of hard work paying off.
Leading the way for the Eagles were three standout athletes who secured top finishes in the regional standings.
Byron Christiansen claimed the title of Region Champion in Saddle Bronc Riding, capping off a dominant season in the event. In addition to his bronc riding success, Christiansen also earned third place in the Men's All-Around standings, highlighting his versatility and contribution across multiple events.
On the women's side,
Saydee Davis delivered an equally strong performance, finishing as the Region Champion in Breakaway Roping. Her consistency throughout the season also earned her third place in the Women's All-Around, solidifying her position as one of the region's top competitors.
Adding to the team's success,
Howdy Jackson secured a third-place finish in Team Roping for the region, rounding out a hard-fought season long battle.
With their season accomplishments, Christiansen, Davis, and Jackson have all earned the opportunity to compete on the national stage. They will travel to Casper, Wyoming, June 15–20 to represent USU Eastern at the College National Finals Rodeo.
The team looks forward to cheering them on as they take this next step and takes pride in the dedication and effort shown by every member of the program this season.
