The No. 7 Utah State Eastern volleyball team hosted rival Snow College in their 2025 home opener. The two teams came into the match with a similar 1-1 conference record, with wins over Colorado Northwestern Community College and losses to Salt Lake Community College.
The Eagles and Badgers battled for the first set. The back-and-forth affair was eventually won by Snow College, 23-25. The Eagles bounced back for a 25-22 win in the second set. In a decisive third set, Eastern jumped out to an early lead, only to see Snow College recover to win the set, 21-25. Needing a win in the fourth set, the Eagles started the set with a long run but eventually saw their lead slip away. Snow won the fourth set 20-25 and won the match 3-1.
Emilia Zug had 13 kills to lead the Eagles. Agata Zwierzynska added 12 of her own, and Audrey Atwood contributed 11 in the match. Zug played an all-around match, helping with 15 digs in the match.
The next time the Eagles will see the court is on Friday, October 10, against the No. 13 College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles. The match will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Bunnell-Dmitrich Athletic Center.
