Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Friday, but USU Eastern defeated the Community Christian College Saints  3-1. USU Eastern pitchers allowed just two hits to the Saints.  

Hayden Brock got the start for Eastern.  Brock allowed two hits and one run over four innings, striking out four. Vaughn Deming lead the Eagles at the plate going 2 for 3.

Game 3

Kody Nelson threw a shutout to lead USU Eastern past Community Christian College Saints  2-0 on Friday.

Nelson was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. The southpaw lasted seven innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out 11 and walking one.

USU Eastern tallied seven hits on the day.  Hawkes and Barker each collected two hits to lead the team.  Eastern didn't commit a single error in the field. Barker had the most chances in the field with 12.

The Eagles play their final game of the series on Saturday (March 12) at 11 a.m.
