Box Score PRICE, Utah – In front of a large crowd on fan appreciation night, the Eagles lost to the Snow College Badgers 77-48 on Tuesday.
The Eagles were hoping to get revenge for the last loss at home against Snow where they lost by one point at the buzzer to the Badgers. After Tuesday's defeat, the Badgers now lead the Eagles in their season series three games to zero.
At halftime the Eagles trailed the Badgers 37-25 because the Eagles couldn't get their shots to go in. By the end of the game the Eagles only shot 22.2% from the field and 26 % from three point range.
During the third quarter the Eagles were able to slow down the Badgers and get some points on the board thanks to the play of freshman guard
Madison Loftus. She led the Eagles in scoring against Snow with 21 points.
However in the fourth quarter the Badgers caught fire and outscored the Eagles 24-7 en route to a 29 point victory.
The Eagles also struggled from the free throw line in last night's game. They shot only 61 percent from the line while the Badgers made 24 of their 28 shots attempted at the free throw line.
Sophomore center
Maile Richardson scored in double figures again for the Eagles including two shots made from behind the three point line.
Coming off the bench to lead the Eagles in rebounding was freshman center
Sara Morley who finished the game with 13 rebounds.
Defensively against Snow the Eagles forced 14 turnovers and had 7 steals as a team.
With the loss the Eagles record now sits at 11-14 overall with a 2-9 conference record.
The Eagles will play at home again tomorrow night in their second game of a four-game home stand the next two weeks. They will take on the College of Southern Idaho, who received some votes in the NJCAA national poll last week.
