Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Snow's Late Goal Enough to Stop Women's Soccer

PRICE, UTAH – The Utah State Eastern women's soccer team lost to the Snow College Badgers 1-0 on Thursday in Price.

The Eagles and Badgers battled back and forth throughout much of the game but a late goal in the game was enough to give the Badgers the win.

Utah State Eastern had a few offensive opportunities that they could not finish throughout the game.

In the first half Kiara Maryott had a shot on goal that nearly went in but was just high above the net.

Freshman Morgan Hall had an opportunity to put the Eagles on the board in the second half but just missed it.

Sophomore keeper Shyann Jones was in goal for the Eagles and had 11 saves.

Jones got plenty of help on the defensive back line which inlcuded Anna Towne, Ellie Putnam and Kallie Magby.

The Badgers out shot the Eagles 19-4 in the game with 12 being on goal.

Snow's Emily Adams scored the go ahead goal in the 81' minute to give her team the win.

The loss against Snow gives the Eagles a 9-7-1 record overall and a 4-6-1 conference record.

Up next for the women's soccer team is a home match against Colorado Northwest in their regular season finale on Saturday at 3 p.m.
