Coach Ralphs brings more than three decades of basketball coaching experience to his role at Utah State University Eastern, with a career that includes extensive experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. His coaching career began as an assistant at Snake River High School from 1993-1995 before taking over as the head coach at West Side High School, where he served from 1995-2004. He later led Aberdeen High School from 2004-2005 and Pocatello High School from 2005-2013 before returning to the Pocatello program as an assistant coach from 2021-2025. He also spent time as an assistant coach at Rockland High School from 2018-2020.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Ralphs has built a strong record of team success and player development. At Pocatello High School, he led his teams to two conference championships, a state runner-up finish, and a third-place state finish. During his time at West Side High School, his teams captured three conference championships and earned a third-place finish at the state tournament. He has also coached five players who went on to compete at the collegiate level, reflecting his commitment to developing athletes beyond their high school careers.

Coach Ralphs also has experience as a student-athlete, playing one season of basketball at Big Bend Community College. He earned his bachelor's degree in physical education from Utah State University before completing a master's degree in athletic administration from Idaho State University. His educational background, combined with his extensive coaching experience, has provided him with a strong foundation in athletic development, leadership, and program building.

Outside of basketball, family remains an important part of Coach Ralphs' life. He and his wife, Pamela, have been married for 36 years and have raised two children, Easton, 31, and Karley, 30. After more than 30 years on the sidelines, Coach Ralphs brings a wealth of experience, a passion for developing student-athletes, and a commitment to helping build successful basketball programs.
